WELCOME
Welcome to the 2021-2022 hockey season with the Charleston Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA). We’re
excited to return to the ice and kick off our season in just a few short weeks! As our program continues to grow
and evolve, we strive to improve the experience for players each year. CAHA follows the framework and
recommendations of USA Hockey by offering appropriate ice time for practice, skill development, and
participation in competition through organized games, leagues and tournaments. To provide the best quality
hockey experience for your player a few items will look different this season. Across the teams, you may notice
a change in the fee schedule, additional practice times during the week, bonus practice times on weekends and
additional home games. We encourage you to reach out to a CAHA board member with any questions regarding
the changes this year.
SEASON START
Our Youth Travel and High School programs will begin practice the week of August 30 th , and the House program
will begin in October. Our House/Development program will look slightly different this season as we will be
offering a Fall session and a Winter session, each lasting 10 weeks. We will continue to offer Learn to Play
sessions throughout the months of August and September.
FEES AND PRACTICE TIMES
Below are the 2021-2022 registration fees and on-ice practice schedules.
House: Session 1 – Fall Session (10 Weeks) October – December: $150
Session 2 – Winter Session (10 Weeks) January – March: $150
(Practice: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:45pm)
8U Travel: $400 (Practice: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:45pm)
10U Travel: $450 (Practice: Mondays and Thursdays at 6:45pm)
12U Travel: $450 (Practice: Tuesdays at 6:45pm and Thursdays at 7:45pm)
14U Travel: $500 (Practice: Mondays and Thursdays at 7:45pm)
High School JV: $600 (Practice: Mondays at 8:45pm, Tuesdays at 7:45pm and Wednesdays at 7:45pm)
High School Varsity: $600 (Practice: Mondays at 8:45pm, Tuesdays at 7:45pm and Wednesdays at 9pm)
*As always, fulltime goalies at 12U and older will receive a 50% fee reduction.

An optional payment plan is offered and splits the registration fee into 6 payments, the first due when you
register and the remaining 5 installments due on the 1 st of each month October through February. Additionally,
this year there will be a $25 late fee for returning players not registered by September 10th. Players must be
registered for the season prior to attending practice.
As always, we aim to create a fun environment to promote the growth and enthusiasm for the sport of hockey.
We believe ice hockey is one of the best ways to teach the lifelong skills of respect, teamwork and
determination, and we are committed to eliminating the barriers to participation. If you anticipate financial
barriers will prevent your player from participating this year, we encourage you to reach out to a CAHA Board
Member regarding financial assistance options available to help. We look forward to an exciting season and aim
to provide the best youth hockey program to all participants!
